North Korean troops in Kursk region could be wiped out within three months

According to assessments by analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), all North Korean military personnel deployed in the Kursk region could be destroyed or incapacitated within the next three months.

According to experts, since the start of the DPRK's active participation in combat operations in December 2024, North Korean forces have suffered an average of 92 casualties per day. Consequently, of the total 12,000 soldiers transferred to the region, all will either be killed or seriously wounded by mid-April 2025.

These conclusions are based on the dynamics of losses and the intensity of combat operations observed in recent weeks. Experts emphasise that such a rate of troop attrition calls into question the effectiveness of the DPRK's participation in the conflict and raises questions about the command's strategy.
