Sister sues OpenAI chief

30-year-old Ann Altman filed a lawsuit in a federal court in Missouri against her older brother, 39-year-old entrepreneur and OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman.

The lawsuit alleges that the abuse allegedly began when she was three years old and continued throughout her childhood and adolescence. According to Ann, the most recent incident occurred when she was a minor and Sam was an adult.

Sam Altman, who is married to programmer Oliver Mulherin, categorically denied the allegations. In a formal statement issued on his behalf, as well as on behalf of their mother and brothers, it was stated: «Эти обвинения абсолютно безосновательны. Сложившаяся ситуация наносит нашей семье глубокую эмоциональную травму» (These allegations are completely baseless. The situation is causing our family deep emotional trauma).

Sam Altman is a prominent Silicon Valley entrepreneur with a net worth estimated at over $2 billion. He gained worldwide fame for developing ChatGPT, an innovative artificial intelligence-based chatbot.

The Altman family has refrained from further comment for now, while lawyers for both sides prefer not to make public statements until the court hearings begin.
