Savchenko partially ends hunger strike

Renowned pilot and Hero of Ukraine Nadiya Savchenko, abducted by Russian special services and held in a Russian pre-trial detention centre, has decided to partially end her hunger strike after 82 days. This was announced by Nadiya's lawyer, Mykola Polozov.

Надежда Савченко сделала абсолютно правильный выбор. Здоровая и сильная она победит!» (Nadiya Savchenko has made an absolutely right choice. Healthy and strong, she will win), writes Mykola Polozov.

 

Today, Nadiya ate broth for the first time in a long period. One hopes that such a prolonged hunger strike has not caused irreparable harm to the woman's health.
