Sasha Borovik may receive a different position in the government

The buzz surrounding the departure of German lawyer Sasha Borovik from the Cabinet of Ministers is not subsiding. Judging by yesterday's broadcast of Savik Shuster's show, Borovik's exit from Ukrainian politics is most likely being postponed; moreover, he may receive another, more attractive position. This was stated by Arseniy Yatsenyuk and other prominent political figures.

«Sasha Borovik must work in state authorities and help reform Ukraine!

Yesterday on the talk show Shuster Live, I met with the Advisor to the Minister of Economy – Sasha Borovik.

I am confident that such international-level professionals in IT management and corporate strategies, who are ready to give up well-paid jobs in prestigious Western companies, are needed to help carry out economic reforms in Ukraine.

Yesterday, during his speech in parliament, Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated that he is ready to invite Sasha Borovik to discuss how to most effectively utilise his knowledge and abilities for the benefit of Ukraine.

As a People's Deputy, I hope for a swift positive resolution of this issue.

I note that, based on my own experience, most problems in Ukrainian authorities are related to the inability or unwillingness to listen, hear, and the inability to agree in order to achieve common goals.

However, the more young people with Western education and a European mindset there are in power, the better!

And let them make mistakes in their first tentative steps, trying to find solutions to the complex problems facing Ukraine, but we have no other way.

The old, rotten, corrupt system is incapable of generating answers to the new challenges facing our state!

I publicly propose to the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, and the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, to consider the possibility of appointing Sasha Borovik to the post of head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine or the State Property Fund.

That is, to those posts that raise a huge number of questions from society regarding the inefficiency and lack of transparency of their work.

Or I propose to consider the option of appointing Sasha Borovik to the post of head of the National Commission for State Regulation in Energy and Public Utilities, regarding which society has questions about the dependence of a number of its members on oligarchic structures and the setting of tariffs in the interests of the energy and gas monopolies of Akhmetov and Firtoch.

In my opinion, Sasha Borovik could most effectively demonstrate himself in the post of Head of the State Property Fund, as he has successful experience in attracting investments and implementing large corporate projects.

It is precisely Sasha Borovik who can organise the effective attraction of investments into the state sector of Ukraine and conduct open and transparent competitions for the sale of surplus state property.

Although with his abilities, intellect, Western education and experience, he can easily cope with antimonopoly legislation and the sphere of tariffs for public utilities and energy carriers.

I am formalising the relevant proposals in a deputy appeal to the President and the Prime Minister and ask all coalition factions to support it.

UPDATE. I just spoke with Sasha Borovik on the phone.

He said that, despite everything, he is ready to work for the benefit of Ukraine.

He agreed with me that, if appointed to a post where he will be the top official, he will be able to best reveal his knowledge and abilities. Especially if it is a post that is elected and approved by a decision of the Verkhovna Rada or the President.

The main thing is the trust of society and the possibility of freedom in making decisions!”, Anton Gerashchenko reported from his page on the social network Facebook.

It remains to see what decision the leadership of the country will make regarding Sasha Borovik.
