Russian aircraft "got lost" over Israeli airspace

Russian aircraft continue to violate the airspace of other countries. According to Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon, a Russian military aircraft strayed 1.6 kilometres into the country's airspace.

After a warning from the Israeli Air Force, the aircraft turned around and headed towards Syria.

Despite the apparent threat, Israel attributes the actions of the Russian pilots to the fact that they "probably got lost".

 "Российские самолеты не намерены нас атаковать, поэтому нельзя реагировать автоматически и сбивать их, как только произойдет ошибка" (Russian aircraft do not intend to attack us, so one cannot react automatically and shoot them down as soon as a mistake occurs), says Moshe Yaalon.
