Russia recalls military attachés

Something strange has been happening around and inside Russia for several days. The Russian Federation has begun hastily withdrawing several of its special units fighting in Donbas, allegedly to suppress possible rallies in Moscow. In addition, it has emerged that military and defence attachés are leaving the Russian embassy in London and returning home.  This comes just days after Britain threatened Putin with declassifying information about his health.

 

An emergency meeting between Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Emergency Minister Vladimir Puchkov took place today.  It is said that high-profile dismissals are imminent among the president's close circle. Who exactly is involved remains a matter of speculation.

 

The Russian president himself cancelled his trip to Kazakhstan, allegedly citing illness. However, Peskov immediately denied the information about his illness. At the same time, to prove Putin's excellent health, the media published photos of the Russian president meeting with governors. However, the photos turned out to be old.

 

What exactly is happening behind the walls of the Kremlin can only be guessed, but the truth is surely close.
