According to the Financial Times, Vladimir Putin intends to discuss new security agreements with Donald Trump in upcoming talks, including a demand that Ukraine does not join NATO.
These agreements envisage a “retreat” of the alliance to its eastern borders and guarantees that Ukraine will never become part of NATO.
Earlier, ISW analysts noted that, despite the Kremlin's readiness to negotiate, the outcome would be predictably unsuccessful, as the talks would not lead to a long-term peace while Putin continues to insist on his terms.
