Football club president handed player over to military registration office

Football club "Inhulets" president Alexander Povoroznyuk found himself at the centre of a major scandal. According to former team player Serhiy Kozak, the club's head handed one of his footballers over to the territorial recruitment centre (TRC) after the player refused to extend his contract.

The player in question is Sherhen, who expressed his desire to leave the team. However, Povoroznyuk, known for his tough management style, allegedly warned: "Whoever leaves us on bad terms ends up at the TRC" (Whoever leaves us on bad terms ends up at the TRC).

Attempted detention and escape

Following this, two unknown men arrived for the footballer, presumably representatives of the military commissariat. However, Sherhen managed to slip away in time and avoid detention.
