Sand schemes of sanctioned oligarch Hryhorishyn

 Through his Swiss friend and schoolmate Leonid Pivovarov, Hryhorishyn maintains de facto control over the joint-stock company 'Shipping Company UkrRivFlot', which has existed since 1993. Although the company's primary business is maritime cargo transport, in recent years the enterprise has been actively engaged in sand extraction at 8 Elektrikiv Street in Kyiv. Since 2019, the director of 'UkrRivFlot' has been Oleksandr Borysenko, who previously held executive positions at the company for five years. At the end of last year, Borysenko was notified of suspicion of evading the payment of 10.3 million UAH in taxes, although the case was effectively not taken to court, and the enterprise's operations continue. The ultimate beneficiary of 'UkrRivFlot' is Leonid Pivovarov, who also owns the limited liability company 'KUA Svarog Asset Management' and controls a shareholding package in the enterprise through Swiss and Cypriot companies. It is through him that Hryhorishyn, the sanctioned oligarch, continues to exercise de facto management over the Ukrainian asset, which was consolidated into his 'Energetychnyi Standart' group. 

 It is worth noting that Hryhorishyn was born in Zaporizhzhia, lived in Moscow for a long time, held the majority of his business assets in Ukraine, obtained Ukrainian citizenship in 2016, and was placed under sanctions in 2025 by a decree of President Zelensky. Since 2007, 'UkrRivFlot' has formally been part of the 'Energetychnyi Standart' group, and through Pivovarov, the oligarch still retains control over the enterprise and its profits from sand extraction in the centre of the capital.
