Parasyuk loses to Poroshenko again

Ukrainian People's Deputy Vladimir Parasyuk has once again lost to the country's President Petro Poroshenko in court. Today, a panel of judges at the Supreme Administrative Court denied the MP's claim seeking to annul the decree awarding the title of Hero of Ukraine to former Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn.

Сьогодні колегія суддів Вищого адміністративного суду України не взяла на себе сміливість розглянути мій позов до Президента України Петра Порошенка щодо скасування указу про присвоєння звання Героя України Володимиру Литвину, який виступає в цьому процесі третьою стороною та іншим народним депутатам, які голосували за закони 16 січня. Колегія закрила провадження у цій справі з формальних підстав за клопотанням представника Порошенка, який, до речі, не з'явився на судове засідання, знехтувавши ухвалою суду. Раніше, за моїм депутатським запитом, Президент не захотів знімати звання Герой України з групи діючих народних депутатів: Володимира Литвина, В’ячеслава Богуслаєва, Бориса Дейча, Володимира Бойка, Леоніда Литвинова, Олександра Риженкова, Юхима Звягільського, Леоніда Байсарова, мотивуючи своє рішення тим, що нема законних підстав знімати в вище перелічених осіб звання Героя України, бо вони не скоїли жодного важкого злочину. (Previously, in response to my parliamentary inquiry, the President did not want to strip the title of Hero of Ukraine from a group of incumbent People's Deputies: Volodymyr Lytvyn, Vyacheslav Bohuslai, Boris Deich, Volodymyr Boyko, Leonid Lytvynov, Oleksandr Ryzhenkov, Yekhyms Zvyahilsky, Leonid Baisarov, justifying his decision by stating that there are no legal grounds to strip the above-listed individuals of the title of Hero of Ukraine, as they have not committed any serious crime.)
