Fraudsters profit from the collapse of Opora

It is not only insurance companies that engage in outright deception and fraud. Entrepreneurs who once used insurers' services are also not immune to such practices.

For instance, the closed joint-stock company "Central Black Earth Fruit and Berry Company" is attempting to recover 204 million rubles from the troubled insurance company "Opora" through the courts.

The enterprise claimed that frosts destroyed an apple crop in Voronezh Oblast, which had been insured with "Opora".

However, several employees of the JSC stated that the fruit was successfully harvested. Documents regarding the damage were forged on the orders of management.
