Korban confident fire at fuel depot near Kyiv was not accidental

A fuel depot near Kyiv has been burning for hours. According to law enforcement officials, the fire was not the result of a terrorist act. However, this does not mean at all that the incident was accidental. Former Deputy Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Hennadiy Korban is convinced that the cause of the fire should be sought in the origin of the property itself.

Either no one is buying it, or the authorities want to take it away. Or perhaps it was acquired in a not entirely legal way. I would urge law enforcement officials to focus not on the cause of the fire, but on whether this property is insured, for what amount, and with which insurance company. When property is burning, it is important to look at the size of insurance payouts in case of its loss. In other words, Eduard Stavytskyi's property is considered to have been acquired in a not entirely legal way, and therefore it falls under the criminal cases opened against him in Ukraine. Sooner or later, Stavytskyi's guilt will be proven, the property sold, and the revenue credited to the state budget. It seems Stavytskyi did not want to wait for the resolution of such a scenario. And I would not be surprised if it turns out that shortly before the fire, this property was insured or re-insured for an amount that may correspond to its market value. If my guesses are justified, Stavytskyi and his company will ultimately receive the corresponding monetary compensation, while the state will get a burnt-down fuel depot»», - Hennadiy Korban wrote on his Facebook page.
