Company whose directors are on trial for embezzlement awarded new contract

The company Agroshlyahbud, owned by MP Mykhailo Pachev, has found itself at the centre of a scandal. It received a contract from the Petroverivka village council for water supply repairs worth nearly 900,000 hryvnia, despite no tender being held to select the contractor.

The project and cost estimate were also prepared by Agroshlyahbud itself. Moreover, the work began before the contract was officially signed. This fact raised doubts about the transparency of the deal and compliance with procedures.

Court charges

The company's director, Ivan Savchenko, has previously been held criminally liable. He is accused of inflating the volume of work completed and the cost of materials during road repairs in another settlement. According to the investigation, the damage caused by these schemes amounted to 337,000 hryvnia.
