It recently became known that the creator of Waves, Russian national Sasha Ivanov, has obtained Ukrainian citizenship. It turns out that Ukraine is in great need of such IT specialists. However, it is not entirely clear why.
Sasha Ivanov was born in Ukraine. However, the parents of the future crypto-businessman decided to move to Russia. It was there that Sasha subsequently obtained citizenship. Nevertheless, his love for his homeland prevailed (this is sarcasm, of course). In this case, it is more a matter of foresight and a way to avoid sanctions. Ivanov is known for having developed a blockchain platform directly for the elections in Russia several years ago.
At the same time, the IT specialist has been successfully collaborating for a long time with major state-owned companies and corporations of the aggressor country.
Rumours suggest that the businessman was helped in obtaining a Ukrainian passport by a certain young politician, as well as an external advisor, Denis Aleynikov, who assisted not only Ivanov but also other IT specialists from Russia and Belarus.
It is worth noting that the Waves cryptocurrency is used to bypass sanctions and for settlements in Belarus and Russia.
Meanwhile, only 50% of the coins are in circulation on the market. The rest are held in separate wallets. It is not ruled out that they were used in corrupt schemes.
