Fico faces impeachment threat

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is facing a serious political crisis: the country's opposition forces intend to vote no confidence in him. This was reported by the portal Aktuality.sk.

Who is opposing Fico

The initiators of this move are the united opposition parties, including "Progressive Slovakia", "Slovak Movement", "Christian Democratic Movement" and "Freedom and Solidarity". Political opponents are convinced that the prime minister's actions contradict the state's interests.

Reasons for dissatisfaction

The main factor that triggered the criticism was the recent visit by Robert Fico to Moscow. The opposition believes that this trip, along with other foreign visits and the prime minister's public statements, distorts Slovakia's foreign policy course. 

In the view of opponents, such actions harm the country's international reputation and cast doubt on its commitment to European values.
