Ukrainian citizens evacuated from Nepal sleep on the tarmac at Baku airport

Today, the much-troubled Ukrainian Ministry of Defence aircraft carrying citizens evacuated from Nepal arrived safely in Baku, Azerbaijan, from Delhi.

The plane will be refuelled there before departing for Ukraine. Preliminary data suggests the aircraft is due to arrive at Kyiv airport around 20:00.

In the meantime, while the aircraft is being checked for potential breakdowns—of which it has suffered two in recent days—and refuelled, people are resting directly on the tarmac.

Some are walking around, while others have lain down to rest. Journalist Bohdan Kutepov published photos of the "rest" on his Facebook page.

Apparently, the 10 days spent in half-ruined Nepal have taught people how to survive and rest in any conditions, even on the tarmac.
