MPs mass withdraw votes on Law 1588

Yesterday, Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada supported the law No. 1588-1 on the restructuring of foreign currency loans with 227 votes in favour. Following the vote, a wave of discontent erupted on social media, as a result of which MPs began mass withdrawing their votes.

Indeed, it is reliably known of at least seven statements withdrawing votes on this law just this morning. The reasons are varied, however, most MPs attributed their vote to their own inattention. Some also blamed Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Groysman, who allegedly did not read out what exactly the MPs were voting on.

Ukrainian residents sincerely hope that even if the withdrawal of signatures is not taken into account, the country's President Petro Poroshenko will veto the law that is ruining the economy.
