«Увы.. обнаружили тела трех погибших мчсников.. Ребята погибли бесстрашно борясь с огнем. Честь и память!» (Alas.. we found the bodies of three deceased emergency service workers.. The guys died fearlessly fighting the fire. Honour and memory), - Avakov wrote.

According to social media reports, one of the deceased is 21-year-old Yevheny Shevchuk. His father, who was also involved in the firefighting efforts, has been hospitalised with burns.

Earlier reports indicated one civilian fatality and 12 injured.

According to other sources, plans are now being made to begin extinguishing the fire using foam.
