Militants stormed the district police department shouting "Allahu Akbar!"

After the withdrawal of our troops from Debaltseve, more eyewitness accounts have emerged regarding who is actually fighting on the side of the so-called "militia". Naturally, these are not former miners or tractor drivers, but regular Russian units and Chechen militants. This is stated by both ordinary  soldiers and their superiors.

 

“On the last days of the police in Debaltseve.

After the head of the Debaltseve district police department, Police Colonel Yevhen Yuhnov, was shot by militants, the unit was led by Artem Kisko, Police Colonel and head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, who was seconded to the city, and Ihor Nebaba, Police Lieutenant Colonel and officer of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast.

The police held the district department building until the very end, then moved to another, more fortified location. They repelled the advance of Chechens, who stormed the district department shouting "Allahu Akbar!" (Allahu Akbar!). Failing to break the resistance, they began shouting "Ukrainians, surrender!" (Ukrainians, surrender!).

A couple of dozen Chechens will never return home; they remain in Debaltseve forever.

Such are the "miners and peasant-militia" who attacked our police officers.

The police of Donetsk Oblast have fulfilled their duty with honour and dignity”, - said the head of the police of Donetsk Oblast Vyacheslav Abroskin.
