The government has temporarily suspended the procedure for approving the draft decree regulating the reservation of employees. The decision was made against the backdrop of public outcry and objections from the business community.
Document removed from agenda
MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced the change in the government's plans. Citing two sources in the Cabinet of Ministers, he noted that the consideration of the relevant decree had been excluded from the agenda of the current government meeting.
«Тобто, поки що остаточного затвердження сьогодні і тим більше в тому вигляді, як планувалося, не буде», — наголосив депутат. ("In other words, there will be no final approval today, and certainly not in the form that was planned," the MP emphasised.)
Plans for 16 October
According to Zheleznyak, as early as the morning of 16 October 2026, government officials intended to discuss the document and approve it during a session scheduled to begin at 15:30. However, the situation changed, and it is now expected that the draft requires additional work.
Consultations with business
The MP clarified that consultations regarding this decree will be held in the future, and the document itself will be significantly refined. Particular attention during the adjustment process is planned to be paid to the risks highlighted by business representatives.
