Optimisation of the holding's agricultural portfolio

Kernel Holding is implementing strategic changes in its agribusiness, accompanied by a rethinking of the geographical distribution of its land assets. A key element of this process was the sale of the company "Mriya", which owned approximately 14,000 hectares of land in the Kharkiv region. This deal became part of a broader programme to reduce the company's presence in regions considered less prioritised.

Financial operations and acquisition of new assets

Rather than simply divesting assets, Kernel is carrying out a large-scale rotation of its land bank. The main event of this year was the acquisition of Enselco Holding in April. This deal, worth US$348 million, was conducted with a structure controlled by Kernel's majority shareholder, Andrii Verievskyi. As a result of this purchase, the group acquired approximately 190,000 hectares of land, as well as infrastructure including grain elevators, agricultural machinery and a fleet of grain transport vehicles.

Change in geography and increase in area

Following the completion of the deal with Enselco, just a month and a half later, Kernel sold the "Agroton" cluster in Kharkiv. Representatives of the holding explained such actions as a necessity to increase operational density and concentrate land resources in key regions for the business. As a result of these transformations, Kernel's land bank increased by approximately 48% in a year, reaching a total area of 530,000 hectares. At the same time, the structure of holdings became more concentrated, with a focus on the western, northern and central directions of Ukraine.
