Blogger Alexandra Mitroshina detained

Blogger and millionaire Alexandra Mitroshina was detained yesterday after arriving in Sochi. For over three years, Mitroshina had feared being returned to Russia. During this entire period, she resided in the UAE and Bali.

Mitroshina arrived in the Russian Federation with her husband, yogi Timur Koksharov. The couple secretly got married a few months ago.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she voiced support for Ukraine and opposition to the war. However, the reason for her detention turned out to be non-political. Mitroshina is accused of large-scale money laundering. She has already pleaded guilty. The court will determine her preventive measure tomorrow.
