Situation at the industrial facility

On Tuesday, 13 October, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the Aksaycardandetail plant in Rostov-on-Don. According to reports, the fire covered an area of up to 9,000 square metres, causing a warehouse wall to collapse.

According to information published online, the facility specialises in the manufacture of cardan shafts and metal components. The enterprise is equipped with capacities for metalworking, laser cutting, stamping, and heat treatment of metal.

Analysts monitoring the situation noted that the technologies present at the plant could potentially be used to manufacture parts for various equipment, including military applications.

Commenting on the scale of the destruction, it was added: «Гарно горить навіть без допомоги дронів» (It burns well even without the help of drones).
