Support for language policy initiative

Verkhovna Rada deputies voted to adopt a document providing for the expansion of the rights of Hungarian and other European Union languages in the field of education. 266 people's deputies voted in favour of the bill.

Next steps

Following its adoption by parliament, the document is planned to be sent on an urgent basis for signature by the head of state, Volodymyr Zelensky.
