Nikolai Karachentsov dies

On 26 October 2018, renowned actor Nikolai Karachentsov died at a clinic in the Russian capital following a prolonged illness. The artist had been diagnosed with lung cancer.

He underwent a course of radiation therapy in Israel, but the treatment proved ineffective. In Moscow, the artist received several sessions of chemotherapy. It seemed that the illness was beginning to recede. The tumour had shrunk in size. However, just a few weeks later, the artist was diagnosed with pneumonia.

He was placed on a ventilator.

Today, the artist’s heart stopped beating.
