British actor Simon Fisher-Becker, known for his roles in the iconic Harry Potter and Doctor Who franchises, has died at the age of 63.

Fisher-Becker was remembered by audiences for his role as Dorium Maldovar, a mysterious black market trader who appeared in several episodes of the cult science fiction series Doctor Who, created by the BBC. His character became a significant figure in the Eleventh Doctor's storyline.

In the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), the actor portrayed the Fat Friar ghost, one of the Hogwarts ghosts residing within the walls of the school of witchcraft.
