Consequences of strikes on infrastructure facilities

The drone attack on St Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast resulted in numerous fires that are still ongoing. According to available data, key facilities in the energy and logistics sectors were hit.

Among the damaged infrastructure facilities are the Ruchye oil depot, the St Petersburg Oil Terminal, an Ozon warehouse, a substation, and a VKontakte network data centre.

Confirmation from the UAV manufacturer

Fire Point, a drone manufacturer, officially stated that its FP-1 model aircraft were used to carry out the strike on St Petersburg. The manufacturer's statement notes that the damaged facilities included the VKontakte data centre, the Ruchye oil depot, and the St Petersburg Oil Terminal.

Information on bridge damage and flight routes

In addition, Russian channels reported a drone hit on a cable-stayed bridge in St Petersburg. However, it is not ruled out that the damage may have been caused by the fall of a downed aircraft rather than a direct strike.

Against the backdrop of these events, accusations against Ukraine regarding the chosen drone flight route have resurfaced in Russian military channels and media. According to Russian sources, the drones moved along the border between Russia and Belarus, then advanced into the territory of the Baltic states and reached St Petersburg through their airspace. It is claimed that this route complicated the task of intercepting the aircraft.

It is worth noting that the Baltic states regularly deny such accusations.
