Detention of Pavlov's former bodyguard

Law enforcement officers in Russia have detained Teimuraz Gogiasvili. This individual, known by the callsign "Goga", was previously referred to by Russian media as a "DPR militia member".

He is charged with the murder and dismemberment of two women. The victims of the crime were the wife and daughter of Moscow restaurateur Mamuka Tsereteli.

History of connection with 'Motorola'

Gogiasvili previously served as the personal bodyguard of Arsen Pavlov, known by the callsign "Motorola".

In 2016, both were in an elevator during an explosion that took Pavlov's life. At the time, Russian media spread information about the death of Gogiasvili as well. However, this information proved to be false — he survived and continued to live on Russian territory.

Since 2014, Russian propaganda has positioned members of the so-called "DPR militia", to which Gogiasvili belonged, as heroes and defenders of the Russian-speaking population.
