An accident occurred on the evening of 8 October within the territory of the railway station in Lviv, in which eight people were injured.

Circumstances of the collision

Preliminary data indicates that the incident took place on Staroznenska Street. A diesel train operating on the "Lviv – Sokal" route collided with a stationary electric locomotive. The moving vehicle consisted of four passenger carriages.

Who was injured

Eight people sustained injuries as a result of the accident. Among them are the driver and the assistant driver of the diesel train, as well as six passengers.

Investigation

Investigators and relevant services are currently working at the scene to establish the exact circumstances of the collision. Previously, there were reports of a collision between two trains in Lviv Oblast.
