Stephen King proposes scrapping the Oscars ceremony

Stephen King has proposed cancelling the "Oscar" awards ceremony this year.

The writer emphasised that he had decided to abstain from voting for the nominees.

In his words, holding such an event under the current circumstances appears inappropriate. "There is no point in the glamour when Los Angeles is engulfed in flames," King noted.

It is worth recalling that due to fires in California, the date of the ceremony has already been postponed twice.
