Trump bans transgender athletes from competing in women's sports

Donald Trump signed an executive order prohibiting transgender women from participating in women's sporting competitions. This move has sparked widespread debate in society and the sports community.

Basis for the executive order

The order is based on a law prohibiting sex-based discrimination in federally funded educational institutions. However, during the Biden administration, amendments were added to this law establishing that banning transgender people from competitions constitutes discrimination.

Trump's statement
