Singer Maxim emerges from coma
The first positive news regarding the health condition of singer Maxim emerged today. The 38-year-old artist is on the mend. Doctors brought her out of an induced coma and disconnected her from the ventilator.
The singer is now breathing independently. However, she still requires supplemental oxygen periodically. Therefore, a mask is always kept nearby. Maxim uses it to inhale oxygen when necessary.
At present, the performer is in the intensive care unit. The lung, which was severely damaged by pneumonia, is returning to normal. However, fluid is periodically drained from it.
To help distract the artist, medical staff wheel her around the ward in a chair. Maxim also occasionally watches television. However, it is too early to speak of a full recovery. The singer faces a long rehabilitation process.
