Traffic in the capital disrupted due to condition of crossings

Friday morning began with unforeseen road difficulties for many Kyiv residents and visitors to the city. Major congestion, which has engulfed the capital's main arteries, is the result of the suspension and restriction of vehicle traffic on three crossings over the Dnipro River.

The current situation is being reported by representatives of the city's transport services, as well as witnesses stuck in traffic jams.

Reasons for closures: aftermath of overnight attacks

According to reports, severe congestion has been recorded on the approaches to the bridges and on the city's main thoroughfares. The cause of this situation is the aftermath of overnight enemy attacks. As a result of these events, the Southern Bridge and Paton Bridge have been fully closed, while partial traffic restrictions are in effect on the Metro Bridge.

Appeal to drivers

In view of the fact that several key routes connecting the right and left banks are temporarily unavailable or have limited capacity, drivers are urged to plan their trips in advance. Experts recommend using alternative routes to avoid long waits in traffic.
