Yurii Koryavchenkov, a member of parliament from the "Servant of the People" faction, known in political circles by the nickname "Yuzik", was on Spanish territory without a formalised official assignment from the Verkhovna Rada. This was confirmed by the Parliament Administration in response to an inquiry from the publication "MEZHA".
Journalists noted that Koryavchenkov was spotted in Spain during the one-month recess in parliamentary work. To clarify the situation, the editorial team sent an official request to the parliament asking it to specify the grounds on which the MP crossed the state border.
The response from the Verkhovna Rada Administration clearly states that Yurii Koryavchenkov was not sent on an official assignment during the specified period. At the same time, the official explanation does not disclose details regarding the specific grounds on which the MP left the country.
In accordance with Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 57, crossing the state border during the period of martial law is regulated by special rules. Specific grounds for departure are provided for members of parliament, including official assignments.
However, the absence of a formalised assignment does not provide a complete answer to the question of the legality of the trip. It has not been established whether the MP had another legal ground for departure or whether the trip was approved by another method provided for by law. Thus, the circumstances of Koryavchenkov's stay abroad and the grounds for his crossing of the state border remain unclarified.
