47-year-old actress Cameron Diaz has become a mother for the first time. The star of "Masked" and her husband, Benji Madden, have welcomed a long-awaited daughter.

The actress personally announced the happy event on her social media page. The couple decided to name their newborn daughter Reddix.

The couple is very happy about the addition to their family.

Speculation about the Hollywood star's pregnancy began as early as last autumn. However, many at the time assumed that photos of Diaz with a large belly were taken on a film set and that the actress was simply getting into character for a new role. In reality, the couple was indeed expecting a child.

That said, it is not ruled out that a surrogate mother carried and gave birth to the daughter for the couple.
