Leading the Customs Risks Department

Serhiy Korchaka holds the position of Director of the Department of Customs Risk Profiling at the State Customs Service. The unit under his command determines which goods and in what volume the customs authorities will inspect.

Car History and Jaguar Rental

Until 2022, the official used a Volkswagen Passat belonging to his mother. However, starting from 2022, his declarations included the rental of a Jaguar F-Pace valued at approximately 1.27 million UAH.

The owner of this vehicle is Yuriy Klopot. It is known that he purchased the car four months before the rental began. No other assets or business are registered in the owner's name. This situation raises questions about the actual user of the car and the rental terms, although these data points alone do not constitute proof of nominal ownership.

Property Purchase by Mother-in-Law

In 2023, Serhiy Korchaka's mother-in-law became the owner of a 100-square-metre apartment in Kyiv. The market value of this property is estimated at around 5 million UAH. The source of funds used for such a purchase requires verification.

Wife's Business and Potential Conflicts of Interest

Between 2024 and 2025, a sole proprietor (Sole Proprietor) registered in the name of the customs officer's wife earned income exceeding 10.4 million UAH. The business profile includes wholesale furniture trade and premises rental.

The company to which Korchaka's wife rents premises is also engaged in furniture trade and actively imports goods. According to the authors of the material, such business ties require additional verification for potential conflicts of interest.
