Kyiv-1 battalion denies involvement in protecting developers

Recently, a report aired on several Ukrainian channels showing residents of one of Kyiv's districts protesting illegal construction. Armed individuals arrived on behalf of the developer, claiming to be from the Kyiv-1 battalion. However, today, battalion representatives denied their involvement in the conflict.

 

 

 

«Батальон "Киев-1" обращается к СМИ с просьбой не распространять не правдивую информацию и, в случае необходимости, обращаться при подготовке материалов за комментариями к уполномоченным лицам. (The "Kyiv-1" battalion appeals to the media not to spread inaccurate information and, if necessary, to contact authorised personnel for comments when preparing materials.)
На днях на одном из центральных телеканалов вышел сюжет о конфликте на стройплощадке в столице. (A few days ago, a report about a conflict at a construction site in the capital aired on one of the central television channels.)
Во время сюжета была озвучена информация о присутствии бойцов батальона "Киев-1" на месте и якобы защите ими интересов застройщика. (During the report, information was voiced about the presence of "Kyiv-1" battalion fighters at the scene and their alleged protection of the developer's interests.)
Эта информация не соответствует действительности. (This information is not true.)
Командование батальона не направляло личный состав по указанному адресу. Ни один из бойцов не принимал участия в данном конфликте. 
В связи с этим, просим считать изложенный в сюжете фактаж клеветой (The battalion command did not send personnel to the specified address. None of the fighters participated in this conflict. In this regard, we ask you to consider the facts presented in the report as slander.)», - такое обращение появилось на странице батальона в социальной сети Фейсбук. (this appeal appeared on the battalion's page on the Facebook social network.)

 

«У меня такое ощущение, что в наших СМИ появилась новая модная тенденция- дискредитация добровольческих батальонов. (I have the feeling that a new fashionable trend has appeared in our media - the discrediting of volunteer battalions.)
Последний сюжет относительно конфликтной застройки в столице - яркий тому пример. (The latest report regarding controversial construction in the capital is a vivid example of this.)
Самое примечательное, что в основном представители украинского ТВ, напрочь игнорируя все законы журналистики, предпочитают обходить комментарии батальонов стороной... (Most notably, representatives of Ukrainian TV, completely ignoring all laws of journalism, prefer to bypass battalion comments...)
А как же объективность? Как же изложение мнений всех участников сюжета? Или безосновательная клевета это новый принцип подготовки материала?
Почему героические поступки наших бойцов часто остаются за кадром, тогда как выдуманные факты раздуваются до не реальных размеров? (What about objectivity? What about presenting the opinions of all participants in the story? Or is baseless slander the new principle of material preparation? Why do the heroic deeds of our fighters often remain off-camera, while invented facts are blown up to unrealistic proportions?)
