Odesa resident set up illegal production of counterfeit clothing

A 21-year-old Odesa resident organised the illegal production of counterfeit clothing from well-known global brands, including tracksuits, shorts, jackets, hoodies, footwear, bags and wallets, the State Bureau of Investigation reports.

Together with three accomplices, he created social media accounts to promote the fake products and attract customers. One member of the group registered as a sole proprietor, opened a bank account and a shop in central Odesa, where counterfeits were also sold.

Preliminary estimates put the total value of the seized property at over 50 million hryvnia.
