TikTok to be blocked in the US tomorrow

According to an official company statement, TikTok will suspend its operations in the United States on 19 January unless the administration of President Joe Biden provides the necessary guarantees.

Company representatives emphasised that recent statements from the White House and the Department of Justice were not specific enough and failed to provide the assurance required by the service providers on which the platform’s operation depends.

The company’s fate will depend on the reaction of US authorities and the provision of necessary clarifications in the near future.
