Armed provocations possible in Kyiv tomorrow

On 21 July, a rally titled "Геть владу зрадників!" ("Get the traitors' power out!") is scheduled to take place at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, organised by the Right Sector. The catalyst for the event was the 11 July incidents in Zakarpattia. Forces have been attempting to corner the battalion's fighters in the forests around Mukachevo for over a week. The men have refused to lay down their arms and surrender. Right Sector leader Dmytro Yarosh has called on all concerned citizens to come out tomorrow evening to support the battalion and voice their opposition to the current authorities.

Security services anticipate armed provocations tomorrow, and even terrorist acts. According to them, there are numerous caches of weapons in Kyiv waiting for the right moment, and it is not ruled out that they will be used precisely tomorrow.

One can only hope that law enforcement agencies will do everything in their power to prevent casualties tomorrow.

It is worth recalling that Lano's bodyguard, who was shot in the head during the shootout in Mukachevo, died in hospital today.
