Former Party of Regions MP shoots himself

The ranks of former Party of Regions members are slowly but steadily thinning out. Today, another suicide occurred involving former MP Stanislav Melnyk, a member of the Party of Regions. The former Party of Regions member shot himself.

After his death, Sviatoslav Melnyk left a suicide note. In it, the businessman asks for forgiveness from everyone. The investigation will determine whom the former MP and entrepreneur asked for forgiveness and for what.

Melnyk previously headed the “Donetsk Brewery” (Sarmat) and was also a deputy of the Donetsk City Council from 2002 to 2006. This is not the first death of a Sarmat executive. In 1998, another Sarmat director, Yuri Pavlenko, was killed in Donetsk.
