Zaporizhstal granted licence to emit harmful substances

Despite the authorities' attempts to combat corruption in the country, it continues to thrive. A recent example is the  Zaporizhstal plant, which received from local authorities a licence to emit harmful substances into the air, forcing city residents to breathe them and exposing their bodies to serious respiratory diseases.

Как следует из ответа экологической инспекции, у Менеджеров Запорожстали есть все разрешения на выбросы вредных веществ в атмосферный воздух. (According to the response from the environmental inspection, Zaporizhstal managers have all the permits for emitting harmful substances into the atmospheric air.)

Кроме этого, зам мэра сообщает, что выполняется некая экологическая программа, утвержденная решением сессии Запорожского городского совета еще в 2012 году. (In addition, the deputy mayor reports that a certain environmental programme is being implemented, approved by a decision of the Zaporizhzhia City Council session back in 2012.)

очевидно, что искусственно узаконенное загрязнение экологии промышленным гигантом Запорлжсталь - результат неких коррупционных договоренностей. (It is obvious that the artificially legalised environmental pollution by the industrial giant Zaporizhstal is the result of certain corrupt agreements.)

Получение разрешений на загрязнения и затянутая экологическая программа должны быть отменены. (The obtaining of pollution permits and the prolonged environmental programme should be revoked.)

Собственник Запорожстали не должен получать сверхприбыль за счёт здоровья жителей нашего города» (The owner of Zaporizhstal should not be making super-profits at the expense of the health of our city's residents), said Yaroslav Hryshyn.
