Dnipropetrovsk governor's deputy has yet to decide whether to resign

Despite numerous media reports yesterday that two deputies of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Ihor Kolomoisky, Hennadiy Korban and Sviatoslav Oleynik, are leaving their posts, People's Deputy Vitaliy Kuprii publicly stated that Oleynik is not stepping down yet.

 

When asked directly today whether he would remain in his post as deputy governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Sviatoslav Oleynik gave a significant reply: «Возможно» ("Perhaps").

 

Many were genuinely pleased that at least one member of the former governor's team is staying in place and can help the new acting governor adhere to the previous team's course and protect the region from conflict.
