New suspects detained in connection with Euromaidan shootings

According to Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, four suspects in the Euromaidan shootings were detained yesterday and today, one of whom is a current law enforcement officer, while three are former officers.

«Генеральная прокуратура и уголовный розыск МВД Украины завершили сегодня важнейший этап в реализации плана расследований преступлений на Майдане. (The Prosecutor General's Office and the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs completed today a crucial stage in implementing the plan for investigating crimes on Maidan.)

Накануне расстрела протестующих на Майдане и избиения и убийств в Мариинском парке - со складов мобилизационного резерва МВД было выдано незаконным бандформированиям 408 автоматов АКСУ калибра 5.45 мм. (On the eve of the shootings of protesters on Maidan and the beatings and killings in Mariinsky Park, 408 AKS-74U assault rifles of 5.45 mm calibre were issued from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' mobilisation reserve warehouses to illegal armed groups.)

Данная незаконная операция проводилась при непосредственном руководстве высших руководителей МВД - Захарченко и Зинова, целого ряда исполнителей из состава милиции, "титушек" и их бригадиров. (This illegal operation was carried out under the direct supervision of senior Ministry of Internal Affairs officials – Zakharchenko and Zinov, along with a number of executors from among the police, "titushki" [hired thugs], and their leaders.)

Из выданного этими милиционерами оружия - убивали людей. Ранее, в рамках задержания участников преступлений в Мариинском парке - было изъято у участников событий три автомата из этой партии. (People were killed with the weapons issued by these police officers. Previously, during the detention of participants in the crimes in Mariinsky Park, three rifles from this batch were seized from the event participants.)

Вчера и сегодня специальной операцией Генпрокуратуры и МВД ЗАДЕРЖАНО 4 сотрудника милиции ( один бывший и трое действующих) , организовавших и реализовавших преступный план Захарченко. Непосредственно передававших оружие бандитам.. (Yesterday and today, through a special operation by the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, FOUR police officers were DETAINED (one former and three current) who organised and executed Zakharchenko's criminal plan. They directly handed over weapons to the bandits.)
