Detention of Wagner mercenaries and other illegal formations

In Ukraine and Moldova, as part of the international special operation "Avengers," mercenaries involved in military actions against Ukraine were detained. Among them are representatives of the private military company "Wagner" and other illegal armed formations.

Investigation identified 85 Moldovan citizens
Operational units of the Ukrainian police and Moldovan law enforcement officers identified 85 citizens of Moldova who participated in military actions on the side of Russia. These are only the initial results of the ongoing investigation.

Detainees face up to 10 years in prison
The court is currently deciding on the preventive measure for the detained individuals. Depending on the circumstances, the defendants may face a penalty of up to 10 years of imprisonment.
