Clown Oleg Popov dies during tour

Famous clown Oleg Popov died in Rostov-on-Don on 2 November. The 86-year-old artist was on tour in Russia and felt well shortly before his death, complaining of no health issues. Everything happened suddenly. Oleg Popov was watching television in the evening when he suddenly felt unwell. The medics who arrived at the scene were unable to save him.

Oleg Popov had been living permanently in Germany since 1991, but he did not give up touring, constantly travelling around the world to delight children and adults with his circus acts.

The artist's relatives have not yet decided where the farewell ceremony for the clown will take place. Oleg Popov will most likely be buried in Germany.
