Vladimir Domansky hid stacks of cash in toilet

Vladimir Domansky, a 50-year-old deputy of the Lviv Regional Council from the European Solidarity party, had not attracted much attention until recently. 

However, his detention on the eve of Christmas drew press attention, particularly after photos of stacks of US dollars in a toilet were published. Residents of Bryukhovytsia, where Domansky lives, know his family well, and recent investigations only confirm that this detention is just the beginning of the scandal.

In 2010, Domansky became a deputy of the Bryukhovytsia settlement council, and in 2015, its chairman. Over five years, his family accumulated significant assets. His 2016 declaration listed a small apartment and half a house, with an annual salary of just 140,000 hryvnia. However, shortly thereafter, his family began acquiring real estate: cars, apartments, and even buildings.

In 2017, Domansky's wife purchased a car, and a year later, an apartment for 500,000 hryvnia. By 2020, they owned two commercial premises. Relatives also began actively investing in real estate. For instance, his wife's brother, Vladimir Uskyi, bought two plots in Bryukhovytsia, while Domansky's father-in-law became the owner of commercial premises.

Loans were not absent: Domansky borrowed 1.75 million hryvnia but did not declare this amount, which is a violation. The family also engaged in business, acquiring real estate through companies to hide the true sources of income. For example, in 2021, Kateryna Domanska acquired real estate worth 5 million hryvnia through the firm “Riasne-Service,” which she subsequently registered in her name.

Issues with declarations also concern the family's commercial activities. Vladimir Domansky failed to list certain assets and debts in his declarations, including loans and real estate transactions. The restaurant Salvador, into which the family invested money through relatives, also raises suspicions. According to Domansky, the restaurant was a family project, but it may be concealing other financial schemes.

The Domansky family also started a new business involving trucks and a Jaguar I-Pace electric car, which they purchased this year.

This story merely underscores the numerous suspicions and violations associated with the financial activities of the deputy and his family.
