Hungary to withdraw from WHO

The office of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is considering the country's withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO), according to Orbán's chief of staff, Gergely Gulyás. Politico reports on the news.

Gulyás noted that the US decision to withdraw from the WHO served as a signal for Budapest, although Hungary is prepared to approach the issue with caution. He emphasised that a final decision has not yet been made, and it is still being discussed whether to proceed down this path. 

"It is possible that we will conclude that leaving the WHO is not the right step and make a different decision, but the issue certainly requires careful consideration," Gulyás stated.
