Over 60 suspects charged following 600 searches

More than 60 suspects have been charged in connection with the illegal smuggling of people across the state border, following 600 searches conducted in 22 regions of Ukraine.

Among the suspects are heads of medical institutions of various levels, staff members of Territorial Recruitment Centres (TRC), Military Medical Expert Commissions (MMEC), and Military Medical Examination Commissions (MMEC), as well as civilians. They offered military-liable individuals to cross the border covertly outside official checkpoints — through the forest, by boat, or in a wetsuit via a river, in the trunk of a truck, or in women's clothing.

The cost of their "services" ranged from $5,000 to $22,000.
