Since these medicines hit the market, nearly 400 people have been urgently hospitalised due to severe side effects. The active ingredient in Ozempic is semaglutide, while Mounjaro contains tirzepatide. Both drugs act on hormones that regulate blood sugar levels and appetite, however, their uncontrolled use poses serious health risks.

The trend of using these drugs as "weight loss injections" was largely driven by famous showbiz stars. Many celebrities publicly boasted about impressive results, without considering the consequences for fans who began using these medications en masse without medical indication.
